Creating Beautiful and Shareable Markdown Tables
Tables help readers scan pricing, comparisons, or weekly metrics. When you paste the raw Markdown into emails or social posts it often breaks, so export the table as an image after keeping the source tidy.
| Item | Price | Quantity |
|:------ | ----: | -------: |
| Apple | $1 | 5 |
| Bread | $2 | 2 |
- Header row defines the columns.
- Use colons in the separator row to control alignment.
- Right-align numbers so they’re easy to scan.
- Paste the table into Markdown2Image.
- Choose a preset with enough padding (Deck works well).
- Enable column dividers and adjust font size for legibility.
- Export PNG for social and SVG for decks or blogs.
- Limit tables to 4–5 columns so text remains readable on mobile.
- Use a muted background and a bold header row.
- Add a caption explaining what change the reader should notice.
Once exported you can post the table on LinkedIn, embed it in Notion, or attach it to stakeholder updates without rewriting it in another tool.
